Radoslav Sviretsov is a photographer, explorer, and trained architect whose work focuses on the extraordinary patterns, forms, and processes that shape our natural world. Combining an artistic vision with a documentary approach, he seeks to reveal the hidden connections between landscapes, natural phenomena, and the forces that transform them.
His photographs have received numerous national and international awards and have been featured in leading publications, including The Times, BBC, Forbes, The Guardian, PetaPixel, and Bored Panda. In 2026, he was named Astronomy Photographer of the Year, winning first place in the Aurorae category of the prestigious competition organized by Royal Museums Greenwich. That same year, he was named Aerial Photographer of the Year by the international photography competition 35AWARDS. In 2025, he was recognized among Bulgaria's Most Outstanding Young People, and in 2024, he received the Sofia City Award for Culture in Artistic Photography.
Beyond individual achievements, Radoslav is committed to exploring photography as a means of documenting, interpreting, and raising awareness of the world around us. His long-term photographic projects examine the visual complexity of natural landscapes, with a particular interest in the patterns created by water, geological processes, glaciers, and volcanic activity. He also believes in the power of photography to create meaningful social impact, a vision reflected in his charitable exhibition, Buy Art, Donate a Child's Future, which connected visual art with support for young talent and cultural causes.
A passionate traveler, he has photographed diverse environments, from the vast dunes of the Sahara and the cultural landscapes of Southeast Asia to the glaciers and volcanic terrain of the Arctic. His approach is guided by curiosity, patience, and a desire to discover perspectives that often remain unseen, revealing the extraordinary through careful observation.
Since May 2025, Radoslav has been based in Iceland, where the meeting of glaciers, volcanoes, rivers, and geothermal forces provides an endless source of inspiration. Through aerial photography, landscape imagery, and long-term visual observation, he continues to document the processes that shape this dynamic environment. For him, photography is more than a way of seeing; it is a means of exploring, understanding, and sharing the world.
